Kyoshi Jerry Taylor began his study of the marital arts in 1970.   He has studied several disciplines, before settling down in Okinawan Shorin Ryu karate in 1978.  He is a direct student of Kyoshi Doug Perry and holds the rank of 7th degree black belt in karate and 5th degree in Okinawan weapons.  He has been tested and certified by Hanshi (Grandmaster) Shugoro Nakazato of Naha, Okinawa.

Kyoshi Taylor has won over 100 competitions, most notably the AAU Nationals and the Okinawan World tournament.  He has traveled extensively in his pursuit of the deeper meanings in traditional Okinawan karate.  He is sought after for camps and seminars through out the United States and Canada.  He is known for his technical expertise and understanding of the traditional Okinawan kata.

Kyoshi Taylor has worked in material management for 30 years.  His primary responsibilities are in purchasing, machine scheduling and inventory control.

 

Sensei Beth Taylor began her training in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate in 1994 under the guidance of Kyoshi Jerry Taylor.   She currently holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt in karate.   

Sensei Beth Taylor competed and placed in the Okinawan World tournament in 2001.  She has traveled throughout the United States and to Okinawa to train with Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato and his senior students. 

She is a Certified Public Accountant currently working in the banking industry.  She has been active as a volunteer with children through the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County and school mentoring programs.  During her tenure with the Junior League she served on the board of directors in positions of Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer.

Tony Galloway began his study of Shorin Ryu karate in 1995 at the age of 9. He has studied with Kyoshi Taylor since that time. He currently holds the rank of 2nd degree black belt in karate.

Tony has worked in retail management and social services. He is currently pursuing a masters degree in English and creative writing.
